HANGZHOU – A residential building in East China’s Zhejiang province collapsed on Sunday, thelocal fire department said.

The accident happened in the Jiangdong district of the city of Ningbo around noon, when a five-story residential building collapsed, according to municipal firefighters.
So far, a woman has been confirmed dead after being sent to hospital, the local authority said.
A witness at the site said that some residents were trapped.
Rescue work is under way.
